what is audience design?
Audience Design is a collaborative strategy for filmmakers wishing to explore potential audiences for their projects.
Working from an audience-centric approach, we look at the story, the film’s context and the fast-changing and competitive market.
In a way, Audience Design is a practise: it’s fluid, it changes, it adapts.
It helps determine the potential of your project and who it will appeal to.
I know what it’s like. Producers are being pulled in all directions:
script drafts, raising finance, attaching talent, finishing on time and on budget. Audiences may not seem like your top priority – but thinking about it now will have a direct impact on your film’s outward journey. And that’s pretty exciting.
